House Styles

HabiJax builds single-family homes in many different styles. There are several different floor plans and home sizes ranging from 900-1352 square feet. Furnishings include flooring (carpeting, tile and/or vinyl), mini-blinds, a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. Landscaping includes sod for the front yard and some shrubbery.  Depending on the size home for which the homeowner qualifies, they may select a floor plan, color of carpet, style and color of front exterior surface material, plus the color of their front door.

The Family Selection Committee approves a range of house styles from which each homeowner can select.  The number of family members, the homeowner’s debt to income ratio, housing costs and family needs are factors used to mathematically determine what the homeowner can afford. The committee’s goal is to approve a home that enables the homeowner to keep their housing costs at 30% or less of their income.
