HabiJax is a volunteer-driven organization

Just by volunteering, you can make a world of difference for a Jacksonville family.

HabiJax is a volunteer-driven organization – community volunteers like you play an essential role in our mission of eliminating substandard housing in our area. All our volunteer opportunities directly impact the lives of our homebuyers and contribute to creating more vibrant communities in Jacksonville.

To Volunteer with HabiJax:

All volunteers must register and schedule online prior to volunteering. Visit the Volunteer Calendar and click any “Sign Up” button to schedule your volunteer day. If you have not registered before, it will ask you to complete the volunteer registration. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on a construction site and in the ReStore.

Groups:

  • Determine the size of your group; we welcome groups with up to 20 members!
  • Learn more about becoming a Team Partner. Further support the mission of HabiJax by sponsoring a Team Build Day! With a donation that covers the cost of the materials for a day on the construction site, you and your team can work together to build homes, communities, and hope.
  • Contact the Community Engagement Department to schedule your group at jjames@habijax.org or (904) 208-6676.
